Dia de los Muertos Dancers

One thing that does work in Downtown Eugene, besides my beloved Market, is the First Friday Art Walk.

Eventhough it was a dark, damp evening, hundreds of people were out, strolling from gallery to gallery, looking at art, buying art, visiting, laughing, having fun. Galleries were crowded, and the Skate for Eugene event, a silent auction of decks painted by local artists, was so vibrant and fun.

I managed to miss running into the several family members downtown somehow, but I was one of the few who were lucky enough to stumble upon a group of Dia de los Muertos demons dancing and howling in Kesey Plaza. Totally spooky!
